Static content is fixed after download. An editable QR requires you to publish and later redeploy a redirect page on your own HTTPS site.
You must publish the downloaded HTML at the exact QR page URL. If the URL ends in /, upload the file as index.html in that directory; an .html URL needs the matching filename. To change the destination later, replace that file and redeploy it at the same URL. Your host may charge or log scans. The QR will fail until the page is live, and changes may wait for caching.

Preview and downloads
Before printing or sharing, scan the downloaded image with a separate device. For an editable QR, publish and test the redirect page first.
Static or self-hosted editable?
A static QR directly contains your URL, text, Wi-Fi details, email address or phone number. You cannot edit that content after distributing the image.
A self-hosted editable QR contains only the address of a redirect page you control. Download its HTML and publish it at that exact HTTPS address. To change where scans go, enter the same QR page URL with a new destination, download fresh HTML, and redeploy the file. The printed QR image stays the same. This is not an instant edit service: Vicaya does not host the page, keep your settings, track scans or guarantee your hosting. If your page or domain goes away, the printed code may stop working.
How the redirect works
The page uses JavaScript to open the current destination. If JavaScript is off, a visible link lets the scanner continue manually. Your own host may collect access logs and may charge for traffic. Check its privacy and caching settings. Keep the redirect URL stable and test a real scan after every deployment.
Privacy and print quality
QR content and redirect HTML are generated locally in this browser and are not uploaded by this tool. The site's usual page-visit analytics may run. The downloadable QR is black on white with a quiet zone and medium error correction. Leave space around the code and test the final printed size.
