Vicaya calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type in, such as income, balances, and rates, are used only to work out the result you see on screen. They are not sent to a Vicaya server, and no one at Vicaya sees them.

What we do not collect

There is no signup and no account. We do not collect your name, your email address, or any figure you enter into a calculator.

Analytics

This site records page views so we can see which pages are used. Nothing you type into a calculator is part of that, and no event is recorded when you run a calculation.

A page view records the page path and title, the page you arrived from, your browser language, your screen size, a randomly generated identifier that distinguishes one browser from another, and a session identifier that expires after thirty minutes of inactivity. The random identifier is not derived from anything about you, and it is not linked to a name, an email address, or any figure entered on the site.

That page view is sent to this site's own address and forwarded from our server to Google Analytics. Your browser never contacts Google, so no Google script runs on this site and no Google cookie is set by it. Your IP address is not included in what we forward.

Advertising

As of the date above, no advertising or affiliate link is active on this site. If one is added later, it will be marked, and Vicaya may be paid when you use it. That never changes a calculator result, and it is never an endorsement of the linked product.

Browser storage

This site stores data in your browser rather than on a server. That covers the analytics identifiers described above, and any scenario you save from a calculator or guided journey, which is written only when you press the button to save it. None of it leaves your device except the page view described above.

Your choices

• Clear site data in your browser settings. That removes the analytics identifiers and any scenario you have saved, and a new random identifier is generated on your next visit.
• Use your browser's private or incognito mode, which discards both when the window closes.
• Block scripts for this site. The calculators are progressively enhanced, so pages still render and the analytics request is simply never made.

Children

This site is meant for adults working through everyday money decisions. It is not directed at children, and Vicaya does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the last substantive change; a rebuild with no change to this text does not move it. Using the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
