How to use the JSON tool

Paste JSON, then select Validate JSON to check syntax, Format JSON for readable indentation, or Minify JSON to remove insignificant whitespace. Syntax errors include line and column. String contents and numeric lexemes remain unchanged.

What counts as valid JSON?

JSON requires quoted object keys, valid strings, and exact punctuation. Comments, trailing commas, NaN, and Infinity are invalid. Files must be UTF-8. Processing happens locally.
