Enter a birth date for a puppy shot schedule with dated appointments, core vaccines, booster reviews and separate deworming reminders. This puppy immunization schedule is a discussion plan for your vet, not a record of doses given or proof of protection. Schedule varies by vet and region.

Dog

Use the recorded birth date. An estimate needs confirmation with your vet.

This chooses a guideline, not local law. Your vet’s product and regional rules take priority.

13 planning reminders

Dates assume an 8/12/16-week core series. Bring existing records to your vet; do not restart or delay a real schedule to match this example.

What this means

Formula F-PETS-VACC-001: birth date +7×age in weeks, counted as UTC calendar days. The puppy vaccine timeline/chart uses8,12 and 16 weeks as one four-week interval example; earlier starts and additional high-risk doses are possible. No breed-size timing adjustment is assumed.

Booster formula F-PETS-VACC-002 adds one calendar year to the planned final dose, clamping leap day. AAHA gives a booster within one year after the initial series; WSAVA advises review at 26 weeks. These guideline choices remain separate.

Rabies dates are a planning window only. This tool contains no local-law database, vaccination history or product-specific catch-up rules. Leptospirosis is core under AAHA’s 2024 update; WSAVA considers regional disease and vaccine availability. Deworming is parasite care, not vaccination. The early deworming reminders assume monthly prevention has not already started; your vet may transition at 4–8 weeks. WSAVA also allows a vet to assess vaccine response by serology and decide whether the 26-week dose is needed.

Frequently asked questions

When do puppies get their first shots?

Core combination vaccines commonly begin at 6–8 weeks and repeat every 2–4 weeks until at least16 weeks. This example chooses8,12 and 16 weeks; your vet may use another valid plan.

Is this puppy vaccination schedule the same in every country?

No. Regional disease, product labels, existing records and local rabies law matter. The guideline selector shows two planning examples and does not determine legal compliance.

Can this puppy shot schedule tell me when walks are safe?

No. Immunity, exposure and socialization decisions need your vet’s advice. The calendar does not give a safe-to-walk or fully-protected date.

Does the puppy vaccine chart include deworming?

Yes, as separate parasite-care discussions at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks followed by an ongoing prevention review. No medication or dose is calculated.

What if my puppy already had vaccines?

Use the actual written record with your vet. This birth-date plan cannot account for prior products, late doses or illnesses and must not replace a catch-up plan.
