Will the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. It works from the time it will end, not by counting seconds, so it stays right in the background. A phone that sleeps can pause the tab: the timer shows the right time again the moment you return, but it cannot ring while the tab is asleep.
What if I close or reload the page?
A running timer is kept on this device, so reopening the page shows how much time is left, or that it has finished.
