Time Calculator
Add, subtract, multiply and divide durations with brackets; work out elapsed time between two moments with daylight saving handled correctly; and total a timesheet with breaks, rounding and overtime — every answer in h:mm and decimal hours.
Every convention this page applies is named in the result rather than assumed. Your numbers stay in this browser.

Assumptions and formula
This calculator uses the standard fixed-rate repayment schedule, keeps full precision internally, and rounds currency only for display and export.
Elapsed time is reported twice: wall-clock, as the two readings differ on the clock, and absolute, the physical time that passed. The two diverge across a daylight-saving transition and between zones, and the page names the shift rather than picking one figure silently.
Worked example
A fixed-rate monthly repayment scenario produces a payment schedule that reduces principal until the balance reaches zero.
Frequently asked questions
Why do two calculators disagree about how many hours passed?
Usually daylight saving. Noon on 7 March 2026 to noon on 9 March 2026 in New York is 48 hours on the clock but 47 hours of elapsed time, because spring forward removes an hour nobody lives through. Both answers are correct and they answer different questions, so this page reports both and names which is which.
